Prince William and Prince Harry’s reunion seems difficult as the Prince of Wales has now completely distanced himself from his brother.
On Wednesday, a source spilled to RadarOnline.com that Wlliam views his brother’s recent attempts at reconciliation as a “selfish” and “self-serving” move, rather than a sincere effort to resolve the rift within the royal family.
For those unversed, Prince Harry visited England in early July with his wife Meghan Markle and their two kids – Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
During their trip, the family met King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House for around an hour, but there was no reunion with Prince William or Kate Middleton.
A royal source claims that William views Harry’s reconciliation efforts as a self-serving move.
“William believes trust has been broken beyond repair and sees recent reconciliation efforts as being driven by Harry’s own interests rather than the family,” the insider said.
“From his perspective, there is simply no appetite for reopening old wounds,” continued the royal expert.
“There is a feeling that every gesture now is viewed through the lens of past interviews, memoirs and documentaries,” a tipster added. That has made any meaningful reconciliation incredibly difficult.”
It is worth mentioning here that Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020. Since then, the two have been living in California with their kids.
