The grand opening event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont. The event is free and open to the public, though organizers are requesting RSVPs via [email protected].

According to the announcement, the evening will feature a presentation by J. Brennan Willis, director of music and technology at Terra State Community College, who is set to share newly discovered jazz recordings from Toledo musician Cliff Murphy, stories about local music promoter Bob Brown and never-before-seen footage of Fremont in the 1940s.
