Kevin Costner has moved on from his messy divorce to Christine Baumgartner — but according to a source, his friends are “urging him to tread carefully” with his new romance.
“He’s setting himself up for something long term,” the insider tells National Enquirer of the Yellowstone alum’s relationship with director Kelly Noonan Gores.
According to the source, the pair have been dating “awhile now,” but pals are warning him to “not get too carried away.”
“Kevin’s definitely having fun, but the worry is that he’s diving in too soon instead of letting things develop organically,” explains the source. “He’s a very passionate guy.”
“It was the same story with Jewel, he’s this all-or-nothing type of guy who loves to spend all the time he can with whomever he’s dating,” the insider continues. However, “That can be a little much for some ladies — even Jennifer Lopez found him a little over-intense and friend-zoned him after that brief flirtation in Aspen last Christmas.”
Friends of the actor have taken notice of the interesting timing of his new romance as his ex-wife is preparing to tie the knot with financier Josh Connor — and they can’t overlook that Baumgartner, 51, and Noonan Gores look alike.
“Kelly’s a dead ringer for Christine and that’s got a few people gossiping that he’s clearly still hung up on her,” the source says, calling it a “big red flag.”
Still, “Kevin’s not bothered,” adds the source. “He’s just doing his thing and saying he deserves to be happy after all the crap he went through these past couple of years.”
Costner and Baumgartner were married from 2004 until they split up in 2023. Noonan Gores is the ex-wife of billionaire Alec Gores.
