Kate Middleton returned to her brunette hair after appearing as a blonde last week.
The Princess of Wales re-debuted her brown locks when she made a surprise appearance at The National Federation of Women’s Institute in Sunningdale with her husband, Prince William. They were commemorating the third anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth.
Kate’s hair was down and done in loose curls and had light brown highlights littered throughout. This change came after intense backlash on the internet about her rocking blonde hair.
Kate shocked the world as she strayed from her typical brunette look and went blonde while visiting the Natural History Museum in London. She and William visited the newly transformed gardens there.
Many complained that it was “too much hair,” and others questioned if the new ‘do was a wig.
Amid the backlash, Kate’s stylist, Sam McKnight, slammed critics on his Instagram page. Sam was also a hair stylist for the late Princess Diana.
He wrote, “I am shocked, horrified, dismayed, and disgusted by all the nasty comments about the Princess of Wales today. A woman’s hair is very personal to her, it’s armor, defense, confidence, and so much more.”
“I cannot believe how evil and lacking in any kind of empathy are the comments, the majority made apparently by other women, attacking a vulnerable other young woman, who has no choice, by dint of who she married and the role she took on, to bravely face the public,” he continued.

While visiting the National History Museum, William placed his hand on his wife’s lower back, signalling his continued support for her. Experts say this type of body language shows the couple putting on a united front, which has become more visable since Kate’s cancer diagnosis last year.
