The Shocking First Trailer for ‘Landman’ Season 2 Hints at What’s Next for M-Tex

Paramount+ just dropped the first trailer for Landman Season 2 and it wastes no time reminding us why this show hooked us in the first place. West Texas is still humming, the oil patch is still dangerous, and the people at the center of it all have even more to lose.

A quick refresher before you hit play: Season 1 ended with the sudden death of M-Tex Oil CEO Monty Miller. That loss pushed landman-turned-fixer Tommy Norris into a role he never wanted, and it put Cami Miller in a spotlight she didn’t ask for. Tommy’s uneasy tie to cartel leader Galino only tightened the screws.

Season 2 seems to pick up in the fallout and asks one big question: Who is really running M-Tex now? In the teaser, Cami steps into a room full of decision makers and takes the lead. (“The only difference between me and my husband is I’m meaner.” What a line!) Meanwhile, Tommy stays where he’s strongest, out in the field keeping crews moving and problems contained. The trailer makes it clear they both hold power, just in different places—and that tug between them is probably going to drive the story.

The footage moves quickly from boardrooms to the patch. We see long tables and tight smiles, rigs glowing after dark, and a close call on a quiet road. Then everything slows for a beat. Sam Elliott appears as Tommy’s dad, which seems to suggests this season will weigh family and loyalty right alongside money and control.

If you’re new here, Landman follows Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy, a crisis fixer in an industry where every decision costs money, and Demi Moore as Cami, who is learning how to hold power when everyone wants a piece of it. The new season brings back Thornton, Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie and Colm Feore, with Elliott joining the cast.

The new season returns on Sunday, November 16, 2025 on Paramount+. We’ll be counting down the days!
