Carrie Underwood is a proud mama to her two young sons, Isaiah Michael, 10, and Jacob Bryan Fisher, 5, whom she shares with her husband, former NHL hockey player Michael Fisher, 45. However, she’s also been raising a few non-human kids on her Tennessee farm, including chickens, cows, donkeys, and sheep.
On Wednesday (Sept. 10) the country music superstar, 42, invited folks into her world away from the spotlight to catch up with her and see what she’s been doing on her sprawling 400-acre piece of property that houses her ginormous garden, greenhouse, and orchard, for her green thumb and her beloved pet animals, which keeps her busy when she’s not on stage.
In an Instagram reel, the “Blown Away” singer can be seen tending to her sheep during the morning hours, and it looks as though she has at least three of them. While dressed in comfortable sweatpants and work boots, Underwood seems to lack control of the animals that appear to want to jump on her and enjoy playtime.
The sheep playfully swarm around Underwood as she lets out a few laughs and tries to communicate with her furry friends.
“Hey. Come back!” She tells one of the woolly farm friends. “You got some hay in your mouth?”
“What is your deal? Leave me alone!” She says while giggling as another sheep jumps up to get her attention. “Excuse you, excuse you. Are you gonna head-butt me? You’d better not play this morning! No!”
In her latest Instagram story, Underwood, who originally hails from Oklahoma, included the words “Help! I’m being attacked!!!” and “With cuteness…” showcasing just how much the sheep seem to have her wrapped around their fingers — or hooves.

The latest updates on Underwood’s life find her keeping a slower pace in comparison to her touring lifestyle as she continues to add to the farm. In May, the eight-time Grammy-winner revealed the birth of their new baby lamb on the farm.
“Surprise! We’ve got another new life around the farm!” The American Idol judge captioned. “This little guy happened to be born on the day of the @americanidol finale, so we figured it would only be right if we named him Jamal!!! ☺️ Mama and Baby J are doing well…and I’m popping by the barn to get snuggles every chance I get! Welcome to the world, little dude!”

While Underwood enjoys time at home, folks will still see her in the spotlight a lot more these days, as the NFL football season kicked off earlier this month. She signed on for her 13th consecutive season of delivering the “Sunday Night Football” theme song. Her showcasing of the SNF anthem premiered on Sunday (Sept. 7) before the Buffalo Bills vs the Baltimore Ravens game at New York’s Highmark Stadium.
