After years of tension, Prince Harry and King Charles finally shared a quiet tea at Clarence House, sparking hopes of a family reset.

Sources say the emotional summit may pave the way for Archie and Lilibet’s long-awaited reunion with their grandfather.

It could also mark the beginning of healing within the fractured royal family.

For the first time in 19 months, Prince Harry sat down with King Charles at Clarence House for what insiders are calling a turning point.

The Duke of Sussex reportedly spent 54 minutes with his father, a stark contrast to their brief 15-minute meeting in February 2024 during the King’s cancer treatment.

A royal source told the Daily Mail, “This is an important first step towards rebuilding their father-and-son relationship.”

Harry also made assurances that neither he nor his team would brief journalists about the meeting.

“He has told his father he won’t be giving any interviews about it and his team have been instructed not to brief journalists about what was said,” the source revealed.

The meeting ended on a lighter note, with Harry later telling guests at an Invictus Games reception that his father was “great.”

Insiders believe the meeting signaled Harry’s desire to mend broken ties, not only with his father but also with the British public.

“It’s become clear that Harry now regrets some of his actions,” one source explained. “He wants to reset his relationship with his family and with the people of the UK.”

The Duke has endured years of fallout following “Spare” and several explosive interviews where he criticized his relatives.

While it may be difficult to envision him returning permanently to Britain, insiders insist this could be the start of a functioning wider family dynamic again.

Harry himself seemed buoyant after the meeting, apologizing for arriving late to an Invictus event and joking that his guests were “probably hammered” after waiting.

Perhaps the most emotional element of the summit was the possibility of Archie and Lilibet returning to the UK.

King Charles last saw his grandchildren in June 2022, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. He has only met Lilibet once and Archie just a handful of times.

Yet sources suggest a solution may be found.

An insider shared, “Maybe there is a way of getting them over to Balmoral or Sandringham next year or another royal residence where they are within the security perimeter.”

Whether Meghan Markle will join any potential UK visit remains uncertain.

The Duchess has not set foot in Britain since Queen Elizabeth’s death in 2022. This year, she and Harry whisked Archie and Lilibet off to Disneyland, but sources hint a royal reunion is now on the cards.
