The “Civil War” star was recently asked by Entertainment Tonight if she’d ever reprise her role of Torrance Shipman, a perky teenage cheerleader who introduced the world to the concept of a cheer-ocracy and flirty toothbrushing in the beloved 2000 teen comedy “Bring it On.”
Although the film spawned numerous sequels, Dunst only appeared in the original.
“I’m like, leave good things where they are,” Dunst told ET. “I don’t need to put on a cheerleading outfit. I don’t even know what I would do — be a coach or something? Let’s leave it.”
Considering that we’re currently living in an era in which every other project being produced is a sequel, prequel, remake or live-action adaptation that feels like a hollow cash grab, many people on X showed love to Dunst’s response.
“Lowkey seems like she has the most integrity of anyone in Hollywood every time she speaks,” another user echoed.
The “Power of the Dog” star has been celebrated over the past few years for her wry one-liners in response to interview questions.
In 2022, when asked by Variety if there were any Oscar-nominated films she still needed to see, she replied:

She gave another great quote to Variety again in 2023, when she was asked if she had seen the two “Spider-Man” trilogies that came after she starred as Mary Jane Watson in the original trilogy that premiered in 2002, Dunst remarked:
“It’s just not my thing. But I did see ‘Paw Patrol.’”
