The movie’s previously announced release date of April 3, 2026, via Universal, remains unchanged. That’s the U.S. date and select territories. The pic hits Japan on April 24, 2026 with select offshore territories opening throughout April.
In addition, it was announced that the returning voice actors for the characters will be: Mario (Chris Pratt), Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Luigi (Charlie Day), Bowser (Jack Black), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key), and Kamek (Kevin Michael Richardson).
Additional characters and voice cast for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be announced down the road. The sequel was announced in March 2024.
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are directing from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel.
The movie is being co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo and distributed theatrically worldwide by Universal.
