Smashing Pumpkins have taken off with “Chrome Jets,” an unearthed song from the sessions for their 2024 album, Aghori Mhori Mei. Stream it below.
Leaning into the Pumpkins’ heavier side, “Chrome Jets” has a dramatic pre-chorus featuring the lyrics: “D-I-E, are we in love?/ D-I-E, I, D-I-E, I die/ Jagged Jesus Christ/ Exalted, his pain is ours.”

For vinyl fans, frontman Billy Corgan is offering an exclusive 12-inch featuring “Chrome Jets” and a live recording of “Zoo Station” from a 2024 Berlin concert through his Madame Zuzu’s tea shop. Limited to 1,500 copies, the vinyl is available for purchase on its website.

The new song arrives just ahead of the band’s upcoming “Rock Invasion Tour” (get tickets here), which includes dates in Japan, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and India.

Earlier this year, Smashing Pumpkins released a 25th anniversary edition of Machina/The Machines of God. Corgan was also a surprise guest during My Chemical Romance’s recent show at Chicago’s Soldier Field, performing “Bullet with Butterfly Wings.”
