The upcoming poster reveal for The Witcher Season 4 has reignited attention on Netflix’s fantasy series. The new chapter will arrive worldwide soon. It introduces Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia while bringing back familiar characters from past seasons. Viewers now have an official date for the season’s debut on the platform.
The Witcher Season 4 gets new official poster and release date
Netflix has confirmed that The Witcher Season 4 will premiere on October 30, 2025. The announcement came with a new official poster. It shows Geralt of Rivia (Liam Hemsworth), Princess Cirilla “Ciri” of Cintra (Freya Allan), and Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) standing together.
Liam Hemsworth officially takes over the role of Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill for the final two seasons. “As a Witcher fan I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” Hemsworth said in a statement in 2022.
Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich added, “It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. We’re thrilled to be able to bring Andrzej Sapkowski’s books to an epic and satisfying conclusion. It wouldn’t be our show if we didn’t push our family of characters to their absolute limit — stay tuned to see how the story ends.” (via Netflix)
The team is filming Seasons 4 and 5 back-to-back. They will adapt Sapkowski’s books titled Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake. Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as Regis, described by Netflix as “a world-wise barber-surgeon with a mysterious past.”
Fishburne said, “I’m very excited to be joining the cast and look forward to exploring the wondrous world of The Witcher.” Additional new characters include Sharlto Copley as bounty hunter Leo Bonhart, James Purefoy as Skellen, and Danny Woodburn as Zoltan.
War and betrayal separated Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer at the end of Season 3. Season 4 continues their individual journeys and introduces unexpected allies and newfound families.
