HBO has confirmed that the third season of the Game of Thrones prequel is expected to debut in early summer 2026, likely in June.
That timing places the release just beyond the 2026 Emmy Awards eligibility cutoff at the end of May.
The long gap continues the show’s pattern of extended breaks between seasons. Season 1 premiered in 2022, with Season 2 arriving two years later in 2024. Now, Season 3 is following the same trend, stretching the wait to another two years.
