Margot Robbie has spoken directly to fans of Babylon, the 2022 film that struggled at the box office but has since found new appreciation.
The movie, directed by Damien Chazelle, told the story of Hollywood’s transition from silent films to sound in the late 1920s.
It featured an ensemble cast including Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, and Robbie herself. Despite the talent behind it, Babylon was a financial disappointment, earning about $63 million against a budget close to $80 million. At the time, critics were split as well, though the film did go on to pick up Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Oscar nominations, winning awards for its score and production design.
