Clare Arts Office and Clare County Council has announced the programme of free events for Clare Culture Night.
This year’s edition begins at 4pm on September 19, at a variety of localities around the county with over 45 free activities for all ages being featured, displaying diverse, innovative and vibrant art.
On the return of Clare Culture Night, Clare County Arts Officer, Siobhán Mulcahy, said: “Once again communities throughout Clare will have the opportunity to experience a range of eclectic, exciting and entertaining events for Culture Night 2025. With lots of opportunities to participate in the arts, whether you want to tap into your creativity or just enjoy the talents of others, Culture Night is always a great social and fun event to for all.”

There will also be a variety of events in Glór theatre, Súil gallery and De Valera Library.
In De Valera Library Lisa Joyce will host a paperchain making will take place at 4pm. Laura Jane Ellis will be hosting a dance workshop outside the library from 6:30pm, for 8-year-olds to teenagers.
At the same time, a collage workshop will be running in Súil gallery, followed by João Tudella’s ‘Under the Ambient’ live mixed film from 8:45pm.
Also, that evening, Glór is hosting ‘QueerVerse: A Celebration of LGBTQIA+ Poets’ in the Studio Theatre and Lou McMahon’s ‘Butterfly Wars – Meaisín World’ in the Red Room.
In West Clare, there will be traditional music events in Kilrush, Kilbaha and Lissycasey. While Mike Butler, Aidan McMahon and Micheal Landers will take to the stage at Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee.

Kilrush Town Square will also be hosting a ballet workshop for four- to eight-year-olds in the outdoor structure from 4 pm.
East Clare Culture Night will have events in Tulla, Scarriff, Mountshannon, Crusheen and Killaloe, featuring music, art, and dance and spoken word.
Mountshannon will host an evening of music, spoken word and a sculpture unveiling at the harbor.
There will be Flamenco jazz fusion and dancing in Crusheen, while Tulla will have a cultural concert in Cnoc Na Gaoithe and an exhibition in Tulla Stables, curated by Ce/ART.
In Scarriff there will be paper chain making in the Edna O’Brien Library, and Bruach Ensemble and Balfolk Dance will host a workshop in the East Clare Community Cooperative Society.
In the southeast, Shannon will begin their Culture Night events from 6pm until late, including performances from ‘Dancing at The Crossroads’ with The Kirbys, drumming with North Clare Refugee Allstars and Piping Heaven/Piping Hell, followed by One September.
The Newmarket-on-Fergus Community Centre Brass Band will perform a 45-minute selection of music in O’Regan Park.
The Tír na nÓg Showcase will be an immersive evening of theatrical expression in an open-air space nestled in Sixmilebridge.
In north Clare, Songs and Stories from The Spa takes place at the Pavillion, Lisdoonvarna, for an evening of folklore, songs, stories, music, dance, and art with Kathleen Malone, Theresa Garrihy, Pat Dowling, and more.
Culture Night in Ennistymon will begin with Aindrias de Staic at The Salmon Bookshop & Literary Centre exploring his repertoire, including a wide range of musical styles.
Grace Wells will host the Hive Nature Poetry Showcase followed by an open mic. Join Sara Foust in her studio for a light-hearted conversation and Q&A about comedic questions she has fielded about her artwork.
The Liminal Landscapes exhibition opening will take place at The Courthouse Gallery & Studios from 7pm.
Ending Culture Night in north Clare is the very best of traditional musicians, singers, dancers, and storytellers, performed by members of the Inis Díomáin/Ennistymon Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann from 7pm to 9pm.
Hotel Doolin will host the Culture Night Late event in The Attic from 9pm. Emain Ablach is a suite of music composed by award-winning musician and composer Neil Ó Lochlainn and performed by a thrilling 10-piece ensemble.
Clare Culture Night takes place on Friday September 19 with events happening in towns and villages across the county.
