While viewers get to see the final acts when the professional dancers and their celebrity partners take the stage on Dancing With the Stars, this season, there’s reportedly some drama happening behind the scenes.
“This season is a s**t show,” a source told the Daily Mail in an article published on Monday, September 15. “They chose a few stars – and I use that term loosely – who just don’t want to put in the work. Some just don’t seem as committed as others have in the past”
The source continued, “Yes, Corey [Feldman] is one of them. It takes work to win Dancing With the Stars. Rehearsals, practice, really immersing yourself, and a few people don’t seem to want to do that.”
Feldman, 54, shocked fans by seemingly going missing shortly after his casting was announced. When viewers took to his dancing pro Jenna Johnson’s comments section on Instagram, she candidly replied, “So many people have been like, ‘Where are your TikToks with Corey? What’s happening?’ To be completely honest, I actually haven’t seen him since Good Morning America.”
Another source likened the show to a regular 9-5 job, saying “Dancing With the Stars is a workplace. People don’t realize that, but this is just like an office job. There are favorites and bosses and office politics. And sometimes you don’t agree with your boss’ choices.”

Plus, to make matters worse, the source described the upcoming season as just “meh” and said that Danielle Fishel and Elaine Hendrix are the only two “standouts.”
“It’s fun to watch a train wreck, but it sucks for the pro who is paired with them,” the source added. “It’s demoralizing to be given someone who isn’t going to try, or has no chance. You feel like you’re being set up to fail. And you have to go out there and smile really big and hope that a miracle happens, and then just hope that the next season will be better. It’s not always fun.”
Dancing With the Stars season 34 premieres Tuesday, September 16, at 8:00 p.m. EST.
