Created by Jay Carson and inspired by Brian Stelter’s 2013 non-fiction book Top of the Morning, The Morning Show revolves around Aniston’s Alex Levy and Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson as they navigate the world of broadcast media. The show’s narrative often focuses on real-world news topics, including the #MeToo movement, racial inequality, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Capitol insurrection, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Besides Aniston and Witherspoon, the series’ cast also includes Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison, Mark Duplass as Charlie “Chip” Black, and Greta Lee as Stella Bak.
