When it comes to massively popular (and profitable) movie franchises, there’s no question that Harry Potter and Twilight were two of the most legendary film series of the early-to-mid 2000s. Years later, fans are still just as obsessed as ever with the now-legendary characters…not to mention the actors who played them. So when a Harry Potter star and a Twilight icon joined forces in a recent video, Potterheads and Twi-hards alike just about lost it.
In a video shared to TikTok this week by Taylor Lautner (who played werewolf Jacob in Twilight), the actor sparred playfully with Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies). Both Lautner and Isaacs wore suits and ties in the clip, which also featured an image of the stars fighting in the film Abduction.
Fans in the comments couldn’t get over the irresistible crossover appeal of the video.
“Omg Lucius and Jacon ICONIC,” raved one person, as a second quipped, “So Lucius Malfoy has another son? and a werewolf?”
“He hid him because he isn’t pureblood,” joked someone else in response, with another commenter adding, “He had him with a surrogate.”

In 2011, Lautner and Isaacs co-starred in the John Singleton-directed action thrilled Abduction, the story of a teenager who discovers he’s not the person he thought he was. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter at the movie’s premiere, Isaacs called Lautner “phenomenally gifted.”
“[Lautner is] phenomenally gifted when it comes to athletics and anything that involves physical coordination,” Isaacs said. “So I had my work cut out for me. I’m made to look like I’m training him how to fight and he, on the other hand, is someone who’s done exhibitions at the world karate tournament. It was tough for me.”
“I’ll confess that I was worried, because I worked with all those lovely Potter young actors,” Isaacs continued, adding, “They’re very humble and courteous, and this is different. This is America. But he turned out to be very, very gracious and incredibly hard working.”
Whether or not the actors will appear in another movie together remains to be seen, but fans would clearly be on board with the idea.
