Crews were busing setting up the Sing Out Loud Music Festival and Live Wildly Showcase at St. Augustine’s Francis Field on Sept. 16. The festival runs Sept. 20-21 with smaller events scattered throughout town for the rest of September.
Adding even more music, more than 100 national and local bands, singers, songwriters and musicians will perform during the event’s artist showcase in multiple venues throughout St. Augustine. Described as the cornerstone of the festival, the Local Artist Showcase is designed to shine a spotlight on Northeast Florida’s diverse and vibrant music scene by introducing new musicians sharing the festival lineup with national headlining acts.
Venues include Bar Citra, Casa De Vino 57, Dog Rose Brewing Co., Francis Field, Jimmy Hula’s, Limelight Theatre, Prohibition Kitchen, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, Ragga Surf Café, Sarbez, Shanghai Nobby’s, Spinster Abbott‘s, Colonial Oak Music Park, The Markland House at Flagler College, The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, Tradewinds Lounge and The Waterworks.
In addition to the incredible showcase of talent, $10 from each ticket sold will go to conservation efforts in Florida’s St. Johns County. Last year’s Live Wildly Showcase raised more than $160,000 for land conservation.
Live Wildly is also inviting festival goers to explore wild Florida by participating in four curated events in St. Johns County, which include a Bird Wildly Walking Tour presented by the St. Johns Regional Audubon and the St. Augustine Bird Club, Sept. 20 and 21; Paddle & Cruise with St. Augustine Eco Tours Sept. 19 through 21.; Visit Fort Mose Historic State Park, which is open daily; and Visit the Governor’s House Cultural Center & Museum for the Wild Waters art exhibit, which is also open daily.
