Thousands of people will desend on Legend Valley in Thornville this weekend for the eighth annual Lost Lands Festival.
Tickets are sold out for the three-day music festival, which takes place Sept. 19-21, rain or shine at Legend Valley, 7585 Kindle Road, south of Interstate 70 and east of Ohio 13.
Almost anything goes at the event, which boasts a roster of the top bass-music creators from “the last 65 million years,” a nod to its Jurassic theme. Lost Lands fashion ranges from the old concert standbys — band tees and jeans or shorts — to barely-there outfits that leave little to the imagination.
Thousands of people descend on Legend Valley in Thornville each year for the three-day Lost Lands Festival.
Two men died at the 2024 event, according to the Newark Advocate. A Texas man died of an overdose and a Florida man died of natural causes.
Featuring trap, house and other beat-driven EDM subgenres, Lost Lands was founded by DJ and music producer Excision (Jeffrey Abel). The Canadian EDM/dubstep artist is known for his tours and festivals with massive sound systems and visual productions.
Some of the changes this year include the debut of Dino Divas, a designated camping area exclusively for female attendees; the launch of Chomp, a pop-up steakhouse; and new production designs at two stages, Prehistoric and Wompy Woods.
If you’re traveling in that area be prepared and patient as traffic can get congested.
