After rumors running rampant this week, it has been officially announced by Disney Branded Television that Camp Rock 3 has been greenlit at Disney+ and Disney Channel.
The third film in the television franchise, which comes over 15 years after the first film, will see Joe, Nick and Kevin Jones reprise their roles. The Jonases will also produce with Demi Lovato, who is not set to return in front of the camera for this one.
The project commenced production this week in Vancouver. Joe, Nick and Kevin reprise their roles as Shane, Nate and Jason Gray, and Maria Canals-Barrera is also reprising her role as Connie.
Who are the new ‘Camp Rock 3’ cast members?
The new cast joining the film includes Liamani Segura as Sage, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Hudson Stone as Desi, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie and Ava Jean as Madison. Sherry Cola will also star in the film as Lark.
Veronica Rodriguez will direct the film from a script written by Eydie Faye. Jamal Sims is doing the choreography, with Tim Federle executive producing with the Jonases, Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman and Gary Marsh.

The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances. Camp Rock’s all-new campers include bold and determined Sage (Segura) and her easygoing brother Desi (Stone), cello prodigy Rosie (Pollack), drummer with his own beat Cliff (Trotter), choreo queen Callie (Pitts), intimidating influencer Madison (Jean) and camp bad boy Fletch (Barton).
“Camp Rock is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, in a statement. “Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick and Demi is such a full-circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation.”
The original Camp Rock film in 2008, as well as the 2010 sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, “are among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time and were the No. 1 Cable Movie Premiere in their years of premiere in the key demo,” per Disney Branded Television. The songs and soundtracks became iconic and helped launch the Jonas Brothers, Lovato and more to further stardom. It remains one of Disney Channel’s biggest pop culture moments and continues to make waves today.
