Coming off its whirlwind 50th anniversary season, Saturday Night Live is back in business — and fans can’t wait to see what’s in store.
For over half a century, the beloved sketch comedy series has been showcasing the most hilarious performers on the planet, with a core of ever-changing cast members and a new host every week. From A-list actors to major music stars, there’s no telling who might take the helm over the course of the next season…but we do know who the first three hosts will be.
Here’s the list of SNL hosts for Season 51 so far:
Every Saturday Night Live host of Season 51
Bad Bunny — Episode 1 (Oct. 4)
Marking his second time as host, Bad Bunny will star on the season premiere of SNL on Oct. 4, ahead of embarking on a world tour this fall in support of his album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Bad Bunny’s first time hosting SNL on Season 49 resulted in a fan-favorite episode including the rapper as a Shrek superfan in a Please Don’t Destroy video and a sketch featuring a ridiculously funny Pedro Pascal as an overbearing mom. Bad Bunny will be joined by SNL first-timer Doja Cat, whose fifth album, Vie, will be released Sept. 26.
Amy Poehler — Episode 2 (Oct. 11)
On Oct. 11, former SNL cast member Amy Poehler returns to the show for her second time as an individual host (and third overall, as she also hosted alongside Tina Fey). As SNL fans know, Poehler was one of the most beloved regulars in the show’s history, famous for such roles as Hillary Clinton and Sharon Osbourne. She also performed the now-iconic “Sarah Palin rap” on Weekend Update while nine months pregnant IRL. Poehler will be joined by musical guest Role Model, who recently had his first Billboard No. 1 song with “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”
Sabrina Carpenter — Episode 3 (Oct. 18)
Sabrina Carpenter will make her first appearance as SNL host and second as musical guest on Oct. 18. While she doesn’t necessarily have hosting experience, the pop star proved her comedic chops during the SNL 50 special when she memorably starred in the popular “Domingo: Vow Renewal” sketch alongside Martin Short, Molly Shannon and Pedro Pascal.
