Justin Baldoni added another lawyer to his legal team in his battle against It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively.
According to court records viewed by People, the Jane the Virgin star, 41, has hired Alexandra Shapiro.
Shapiro — who previously represented Sean “Diddy” Combs in his federal trial — filed a notice to appear earlier this week, the outlet reported. Shapiro once worked under former Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The legal battle between Baldoni and Lively, 38, began in December 2024 when the Gossip Girl star accused him of sexual harassment on the set of their film. She also alleged that Baldoni, who also directed the Colleen Hoover adaptation, orchestrated a smear campaign against her.
The actor filed a countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist, alleging defamation and extortion.
He also filed a lawsuit against The New York Times after the paper ran a lengthy article in December 2024 detailing Lively’s complaints and allegations. That lawsuit, along with the defamation case, were dismissed in June.
The former costars’ next court hearing is scheduled for October 21. They are expected to begin trial in March 2026.
