Larry David got lucky on the Season 5 premiere episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? when his daughter, Cazzie, saved him on a question about cereal. Fans were shocked that the comedian didn’t know any of the cereals listed.
The $500 question on July 22 was “‘Marbits,’ short for ‘marshmallow bits,’ is the technical term for the colorful edible pieces in which of these cereals?” The options were Raisin Bran, Cap’n Crunch, Cookie Crisps, and Lucky Charms.
Right away, Cazzie answered, “Lucky Charms.”
“What?” Larry asked.
“What? Lucky Charms has marshmallows in it,” Cazzie said.
“It does?” Larry asked.
“Yeah. Do you not know about cereals?” his daughter asked.
“I thought Lucky Charms were just these colored fruit things,” Larry said.
“Those are marshmallows,” Cazzie replied.
“Are you sure about that?” Larry asked.
“Thank God I’m here. I thought I was going to be doing nothing,” Cazzie joked. Larry went on to say that he’s only ever eaten Raisin Bran. Cazzie said it was good she was there because he would have had to use a lifeline for a cereal. She locked in her answer and got it right.
“I wouldn’t have gotten that,” Larry said.
“You never had any of these sugary cereals?” host Jimmy Kimmel asked, to which Larry said he’s only had Raisin Bran. “Everyone, in the whole world, knew that.”
Cazzie and Larry made it to the $64,000 question, which they got wrong, so they went home with $32,000 for their chosen charity. Fans reacted to Larry’s lack of knowledge about the breakfast food.
“Get this man a bowl of Lucky Charms. He doesn’t know what he’s missing,” an Instagram user wrote.

“Even if you don’t eat cereal… you know Lucky Charms has marshmallows,” another wrote.
“He is friends with Seinfeld, and he doesn’t know anything about cereal??! He should watch Seinfeld!” a third added. Larry wrote and created the show Seinfeld.
