On Friday, the pop star surprised fans by dropping a new song, “Secrets,” together with Fleetwood Mac musicians Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood.
Accompanied by an artistic music video, the 32-year-old singer revealed the meaning behind the song and presented it as a special dedication to her father.
“This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved. In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same. This song is for my dad,” she captioned her post.
Miley Cyrus’ Instagram post sparked a massive reaction from fans and loved ones who were left in awe of her newly released song.
“Forgiveness and love! Cause in the end no one loses or wins,” one wrote.
“MILEY, THIS IS BEAUTIFUL,” a commenter said.

In addition, the actor’s girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley, also took to the comments and left a heartfelt reaction on Miley Cyrus’ “Secrets.”
