RiverFEST 2026

What: The second of two 2026 riverbank cleanup efforts organized by the City of Glenwood Springs will take place on Saturday, Aug. 1, as countless volunteers dedicate their day to preserving some of the most important resources to the landscape and economy of the region. Starting at Two Rivers Park, volunteers can walk or float alongside the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers, as well as the Mitchell and Threemile Creek tributaries. Volunteers spend hours collecting a variety of carelessly discarded items and identifying hazards that are too large to move. Climbing steep slopes, wading into deep water, and work hard to bring awkward items into view so they can be properly disposed of. Volunteers and City Staff will be stationed at a predetermined location to hand out supplies. After the clean-up session is over, lunch from a local vendor and beer from a local brewer will be provided to volunteers and walk-up attendees with a donation. Live music, activities for adults and kids, and prizes will all be available at Two Rivers Park in the afternoon.

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
