Demon hunter who renounced his holy mission out of fear of malevolent spirits says he’s returning to his divine calling — no matter what danger may await him.
As the National Enquirer first reported in 2022, former NYPD officer turned demonologist Chris DeFlorio, 54, made a global name for himself battling evil using tools as simple as the Bible, Catholic prayer and crucifixes.
But he sidelined his supernatural smackdowns after a scary spook threatened him in a spine-tingling dream.
“A young woman and a young girl, maybe 6 years old, came up to me,” in the dream, DeFlorio told the celebrity.land. “They were giggling … and the girl said, ‘Do you know what happened to the last person who tried to do what you’re going to do? … He’s not here anymore!’”

Another time, a specter whispered in his ear as he approached a haunted home on Long Island, warning him, “We told you to stay away!”
Chris took the incidents as omens and retired from the ghost-busting biz. But now he and his wife and paranormal partner, Harmony DeFlorio, are again spoiling for a spooky fight after they say the Almighty emboldened them to pick up the ghost-hunter’s hurled-down gauntlet!
“We’re called to do this,” Chris insists, explaining, “I was thinking with human reasons and forgetting the God factor.”
Harmony agrees, saying, “We’re just his messengers. It’s really not us doing the work — it’s all his prayers and his blessings, and they help people.”
