'TEN: The Story Goes On' - Twice celebrates 10th anniversary with new special album

Twice will release their commemorative special album ‘TEN: The Story Goes On’ on September 30 at 1 p.m., as confirmed by JYP Entertainment on the 20th. The group’s agency shared the 10th anniversary timetable and comeback teaser through official social media channels the previous day, amplifying anticipation among fans worldwide. According to Yonhap News, the upcoming album symbolises ten years of perseverance, music, and growth, honouring how Twice has shaped their place in K-pop history.

From debut to iconic status

Debuting in October 2015, Twice quickly became a household name with viral tracks like ‘Cheer Up’, ‘T.T’, and ‘Heart Shaker’. Their cheerful sound and memorable performances led them to dominate charts in Korea and Japan, securing their reputation as one of the most successful third-generation K-pop girl groups. They also set historic records when they became the first K-pop girl group to headline Nissan Stadium, Japan’s largest concert venue, showcasing their immense popularity across Asia.

Conquering global charts

The members successfully extended their reach far beyond Asia. Their mini-album ‘With YOU-th’ made history by topping the Billboard 200 album chart, marking a career-defining milestone that highlighted their growing dominance in the Western music market. Through consistent records and international tours, Twice cultivated one of the most loyal fan bases, often regarded as pioneers who elevated the global visibility of K-pop.

Expanding influence in entertainment

Beyond music releases, the group’s influence also spread into other media ventures. Members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung recorded the OST ‘TAKEDOWN’ for Netflix’s original animated film ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’, earning wide recognition for their powerful vocals. At the same time, their previously released track ‘Strategy’ was later included in the same film, sparking renewed popularity. The song impressively climbed back into the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100, proving Twice’s unique staying power in the international pop scene.
