Alabama Barker has clapped back at fans who accused her of seeking attention. “The idea that I’d ever share something so personal for attention is insane,” Barker wrote on Instagram Story, which has been deleted, according to The Shade Room. “Accident or not, I don’t need to prove myself by posting. My journey is my own, not a performative one, and not because someone else shared theirs,” the singer added.
The official clarification by Barker comes after she revealed the loss of her pregnancy in a now-deleted TikTok post. She shared a short video montage of her crying, with a caption that read, “You know ever since I lost my baby, got cheated on, while also getting hated on, I’d get this feeling like …. I’ll never be the same person again.”
One of the clips showed a mirror reflection of Barker delicately touching her baby bump, while the other featurettes show her wiping off her tears. Shortly after the post, the singer announced that she will be taking a brief hiatus from Instagram and will be “deleting” the app “for a little while.” The influencer later announced that she will do a Twitch live-stream on September 27. I’ve also never been pregnant, nor do I know Soulja Boy. The end.”
