The post Chappell Roan Brings Out Nancy Wilson for “Barracuda” Cover in New York: Watch appeared first on Consequence.
Since late last year, Chappell Roan has been busting out covers of Heart’s “Barracuda” at her headlining shows and festival sets. For her latest concert at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium on Sunday, September 21st, Chappell was joined by Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson for a rendition of “Barracuda.”
After being introduced by Chappell, Wilson stepped out wearing a frayed black and white blazer and purple boots and donning a purple guitar. She proceeded to rip through “Barracuda,” Heart’s signature song and one of Wilson’s most memorable guitar riffs. As Chappell paraded around the stage, Wilson joined forces with her band and headbanged along. Watch fan-captured videos of the guest performance below.

Chappell Roan’s performance with Nancy Wilson arrived during the second night of her “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” run, which is a limited stretch of pop-up shows. Still to come are two more nights in New York, followed by a pair of shows in Kansas City, and concluding with two final shows in Los Angeles. She’s also set to headline Mexico City’s Corona Capital festival in November.
Nancy Wilson, meanwhile, is gearing up for another US tour with Heart this fall (including a stretch of dates with Cheap Trick), followed by a 2026 tour. Get tickets to see Heart here. Wilson, who we named as one of the best guitarists of all time in our Guitar Week celebration this year, also appeared on Consequence podcast The Story Behind the Song back in April to break down the creation of “Barracuda.”
