Kylie Kelce rebutted the phrase “Just bring the baby!” by outlining everything a parent needs to pack when traveling with young children
Sleeping arrangements, bedding, toys, clothes and strollers are necessary items to bring — and all have to fit in the car

Kylie Kelce is shedding light on the reality of traveling with children.
On her “More S— Monday” segment of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, the mother of four opened up about a major parenting pet peeve: “Just bring the baby!” The phrase has become a bit of an internet trend, aimed at showing how truly difficult it is for parents of infants, and it hit especially close to home for Kelce.
“Traveling with a baby is just parenting in a different zip code,” she began. “You have to take so many things.”

Babies and toddlers usually require their own sleeping arrangements like a portable bassinet or a Pack-n-Play, Kelce said, which take up a lot of space in the car. Portable sleeping arrangements also require sheets (and back-up sheets, just in case) and other bedding, not to mention each child’s favorite toys. These are all items that most traveling adults don’t need to pack.
Then there’s car seats, strollers or a wagon — and the latter two generally require some research, because sometimes they aren’t allowed at the destination, Kelce said.
Each trip requires different items. A beach trip, for example, requires chairs and towels (and sometimes the “14th towel” makes or breaks the trip, Kelce said) on top of everything else — and it all has to fit in the car.
“Trying to pack up children — you really got to weigh out whether or not it’s worth it,” Kelce admitted.
And the traveling stress definitely doesn’t end with the packing process. Kids will be kids and cause messes, Kelce added, and treat every random object like a new toy. There are very few spaces that are truly childproof, she explained.

The challenge of bringing children on a trip doesn’t deter Kelce, she said, but it doesn’t change the fact that there’s a whole physical and mental load to bring along, too.
“It’s … fun. We’re having fun!” Kelce laughed. “‘Yeah, just bring the baby.’ F— it!”
