A Georgia native has captured the attention of national television audiences and even moved country music icon Reba McEntire to tears.
Manny Costello, 28, of Athens, appeared on Season 28 of The Voice on Sept. 22 as a country artist who writes original music.
He is also a father of two daughters, and is known as a devoted “girl dad,” according to American Songwriter.

Costello chose to perform “Almost Home,” a song by country artist Craig Morgan, during his Blind Audition.
McEntire and Snoop Dogg both turned their chairs during his performance, indicating their interest.
After the performance, McEntire was emotionally moved, she said Costello “made me homesick” and remarked that his voice brought to mind legendary country singers such as George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Randy Travis.
Costello chose McEntire to be his coach.
