In the clip, she wore a white tank top with her hair tied in a bun, sipping an energy drink as she shook her head in agreement to the lyrics.

Her post was a clear response to the scrutiny she has faced since the split. According to E! News, breakup talk had already picked up earlier this month when she was leaving a Nashville salon, with chatter online discussing her relationship status. By the following week, an insider addressed the rumors with the tabloid, confirming she and Stokes had quietly decided to go their separate ways.

Neither Kelsea Ballerini nor Chase Stokes publicly spoke about the rumors, but Ballerini’s TikTok video asking for privacy is interpreted as a nod to the breakup.  Just days before the news broke out, Stokes had celebrated Ballerini’s 32nd birthday on Instagram. However, fans noticed weeks earlier that Stokes’s photos began disappearing from the singer’s social media.

While their romance was a public affair, both stars previously pointed out the importance of personal boundaries. Stokes told E! News last year, “I truthfully believe that my personal life is really, really private. For the most part, I still feel like I have a really good grasp on my privacy.” Ballerini’s TikTok video echoed the same sentiment.
