It’s officially Survivor season once again. Survivor Season 49 on CBS premieres this week, and fans are already excited for the new 18 castaways competing for $1 million.
The cast actually has a famous cast member, with Nate Moore, former VP of Production and Development at Marvel Studios, being a part of the group.
As we previously reported, Moore was a Marvel executive from 2010 until Dec. 2024, when Marvel Studios announced that he would be “stepping down as executive vice president of production and development to pursue an independent producing career.”
Of the 18 castaways, two of them will also compete on the landmark 50th season of Survivor in 2026.
Here’s CBS’s description of the season: “Twenty-five years after it first premiered, Survivor continues to prove both the ultimate test of physical and mental will, as well as the adventure of a lifetime, for castaways stranded on the beaches of Fiji and tasked with forming a new society, adapting to their surroundings and navigating an unpredictable social game to ensure their torch stays lit.”
When will ‘Survivor’ air each week?
The series will have a two-hour premiere on Wednesday night before switching to 90-minute episodes each week beginning Oct. 1.
The 48th season of the show was nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Host and Reality Competition Program.
