Swift’s frustration escalated after a bizarre late-night incident at Travis Kelce’s Kansas home. A private investigator named Justin Lee Fisher was arrested at 2 a.m. on September 15 after allegedly trespassing in an attempt to serve Swift deposition papers from Baldoni’s legal team. Fisher, a former police officer, now faces criminal trespassing charges.
Two days before the arrest, Judge Lewis Liman denied Baldoni’s request to depose Swift, ruling that his lawyers had failed to demonstrate “appropriate diligence.” Court documents show Baldoni’s team previously subpoenaed Swift months earlier, only to withdraw it later.
Despite claims from Baldoni’s side that the superstar had agreed to testify, Swift’s lawyer Doug Baldridge clarified she had “not agreed” to a deposition. Instead, he stated Swift would only comply if she were legally compelled. The filing emphasized the singer has “no material role” in the bitter fight between Lively and Baldoni.
