Bruce Springsteen movie starring Jeremy Allen White films at Stone Pony
‘Deliver Me from Nowhere,’ about the making of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Nebraska,” filmed at the Stone Pony on Jan 11, 2025
Who’s that reaching for the sky while his guitar plays? It’s Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in a new poster for the upcoming Boss biopic, “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.”
The film hits theaters on Friday, Oct. 24. Fans are getting the spirit from the new poster, shared on the Springsteen, White and Disney’s 20th Century Studios socials on Sept. 24.
“So excited,” commented one fan.
“Bear Springsteen!” commented another in a refence to White’s starring role on TV’s “The Bear.”
More than 50,000 have liked the post on Instagram so far.
The poster is a photoshop painting from the 20th Century Studios photo team.
Performance scenes for “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” the scenes where Springsteen would be holding a guitar on a concert stage, were filmed at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park and the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, which doubled as early ’80s versions of the Riverfront Arena in Cincinnati and the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
White sings the Springsteen classics in the movie.
“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” directed by Scott Cooper, is about the making of the Boss’ 1982 lo-fi classic “Nebraska” album. It’s based on the book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska” by musician Warren Zanes.
Also starring are Jeremy Strong as Springsteen manager Jon Landau; Odessa Young as Springsteen love interest Faye; and Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Douglas Springsteen.
Filming took place in Asbury Park, Freehold and more locations in New Jersey.
Only one more question can be asked.
“Hoping for a Springsteen popcorn bucket,” commented a Springsteen and popcorn fan.
