Connecticut Swifties will have the opportunity to live like a showgirl at a newly announced listening party for Taylor Swift’s forthcoming album.
The Clubhouse on Main in Glastonbury is holding a party on Oct. 3 to celebrate the release of the pop superstar’s 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” The party will feature a food and drink menu made up entirely of Swift-themed bites and cocktails, as well as “Swingo,” or Taylor Swift musical bingo, where a DJ will play songs off the new album and from Swift’s catalogue, and attendees can compete with bingo cards.
“We had a similar event for her last album, and it was wonderful; we didn’t realize it would be so wonderful,” Sarah Dagon, the bar’s general manager, said. “We even hit max capacity (around 300 people) because so many people showed up.”
The bar has a history of Taylor Swift-themed events. In addition to its April 2024 release party for Swift’s album “The Tortured Poet’s Department,” the bar hosted a Swift-focused trivia night in July 2024.

For October’s celebrations, Dagon encouraged attendees to dress as “their favorite Taylor Swift era” and arrive early; the party begins at 6 p.m.
Four winners of the Swift musical bingo game will receive five tickets each to see “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” in theaters the next day, and guests will get to enjoy a drink menu that includes a kid-friendly slushy called “Orange You A Swiftie?” as well as a “jumbo-sized” cocktail named after the album, and another cocktail dubbed “The Fate of Ophelia” after the album’s opening track.
The Glastonbury-based bar’s event is just one of several album release parties that have been announced across Connecticut. Other events include a Swiftie trivia night in Wallingford and parties in Hartford and Bridgeport.
