Netflix’s Stranger Things has released its new trailer, and by the looks of it, it’s everything one would expect from the finale of a juggernaut – and a whole lot more. As the cast describes it, it’s the “biggest season we’ve ever had, in terms of action, in terms of visual effects, in terms of story.”
The trailer features behind-the-scenes clips of the cast enjoying themselves, some reminiscence shots from Seasons 1 to 4, and lead actors reflecting on their Stranger Things journey. From David Harbour’s reaction to reading the pilot script to Winona Ryder fondly reflecting on watching the child actors grow up, the teaser packs so much into every frame, as if planning not to waste a single moment.
What else? There’s, of course, a sneak peek of Season 5: a devastated Hawkins, Lucas, and Max trapped in a hospital room, new moments between Eleven, Mike, and the gang, plus glimpses of Mrs. Wheeler.
It truly seems to be a full-throttle mission, with every single character thrown into the heart of the battle. Millie summed up the season as “more of a mission, more of an adventure,” adding that “Everybody is really put into the thick of it. No one is sitting back on a walkie-talkie.”
Season 5 teaser seemingly delivers a montage of emotions—from the happiness of witnessing the long-awaited final showdown to the bittersweet sadness of seeing the gang unite and nerd out together for the last time.
Stranger Things Season 5 premieres with Volume 1 on Nov. 26, Volume 2 on Dec. 25, and the finale on Dec. 31.
