Prince Harry is in pursuit of a royal reconciliation with his father, King Charles, and it appears he is making progress with his stepmother, Queen Camilla, who is pivotal in helping the father and son have some private time.
Harry made it well-known he wasn’t a huge fan of Camilla, pleading with his father not to marry her, which he wrote about in his infamous memoir Spare. And while Charles may not be able to look past the scathing words, it sounds like Camilla has moved on and can put her husband and stepson first.
Emma Fabiani, who runs a Meghan Markle fan page on Instagram, revealed her thoughts on Harry sitting down with Charles and her biggest takeaway was Camilla’s role in the royal reconciliation.
Ms. Fabiani said: “About Charles and Harry, yes: they met at Clarence House for a private cup of tea, a brief but meaningful meeting, and the signal was perceived as positive.
“The fact that Camilla was not present was read by many as a choice to keep this moment strictly personal, between father and son. Regardless of the reconstructions, the substance is that a channel exists and has opened again.”
Camilla’s decision to step back speaks volumes, as it implies trust that it’s okay for Charles to be alone with Harry. Also, it may mean that everyone involved is taking the negotiations seriously and is wholeheartedly entering the royal reconciliation.
In terms of Harry returning to royal life, it’s being suggested Charles has been saving Frogmore Cottage for the Sussexes, if and when they decide to return to the UK, which Fabiani thinks might be a romanticized interpretation of why the royal residence sits empty.
Emma said: “One detail that continues to intrigue is the situation of Frogmore Cottage.
“The house has remained empty since the Sussexes moved out and has not been reassigned, probably for a combination of practical, bureaucratic or even strategic reasons.
”Certainly, at a time when the Royal Family openly talks about rationalizing spaces and costs, leaving such an important property unused inevitably makes people wonder, and this has fed more romantic interpretations among fans, as if it were a sign that the door to a return is not completely closed.”

Fabiani said: “Indeed, the state visit shifted media attention, but that does not mean Harry’s steps have been forgotten.
“On the contrary, precisely because the overall atmosphere is so charged, every gesture is watched even more closely. And sometimes, paradoxically, what speaks loudest is not what is shown openly, but what remains unspoken.”
