‘DWTS’ Danielle Fishel, Andy Richter share how rehearsals are going
Danielle Fishel, Elaine Hendrix, Andy Richter and Robert Irwin joke about pain and passion as “DWTS” rehearsals begin.
The competition in “Dancing with the Stars” season 34 is heating up.
Episode 2, titled “One-Hit Wonders Night,” featured the season’s first elimination. And to make up for no one getting sent home during the premiere, two contestants were booted on Sept 23.
Now, only 12 celebrities remain.
Here’s who went home on “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night.
Who was eliminated on ‘Dancing with the Stars’?
Judges’ scores and viewer votes from the first two weeks were combined to determine who would be sent home this week.
Actor and musician Corey Feldman and two-time NBA All-Star Baron Davis got the axe. Feldman, who became known for his childhood roles in “The Goonies” and “Stand by Me,” was the night’s lowest scorer, with 24 out of 50 points, according to Deadline.
He danced the cha cha to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot with pro Jenna Johnson. Judges pointed out timing issues and technique problems, and judge Bruno Tonioli described the routine as both “bizarre” and “unforgettable.”
However, reviewers described the routine as entertaining to watch. “Sometimes, it’s not about what we say, it’s not about our scores, it’s just about being memorable,” judge Derek Hough told Feldman, according to Deadline. “My friend, that was memorable.”
Davis, who scored 28 points, ranked above two contestants, including Feldman, and tied for 11th place.
The former basketball player performed a samba to “Return of the Mack” by Mark Morrison with pro Britt Stewart. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba described the routine as “tough” during her feedback. “You made a mistake, and it took you out a little bit,” Inaba said, according to Gold Derby.
