New Music From Kyle Alessandro, Sam Ryder, Alessandra and more

Although we’re officially into the Eurovision 2026 season, it will still be some time before we hear any national final and Eurovision songs. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 39 part 1

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 2 here.

Kyle Alessandro – “Model”

Singer, dancer, model — Kyle Alessandro has many strings in his bow. The Norwegian singer is getting back to business with the follow-up single to his Eurovision 2025 entry. Kyle delivers a slick slice of pop in which he discusses his infatuation for the way a certain individual moves their body: “Love it when those puppy eyes are staring at me / You’ve got me cuffed, every day of the week / Looking like an angel / But you walk just like a / Model.”

Chanel & Lapili – “Matahari”

“Like Malinche, I speak languages / Like capricious Cleopatra / Like Medusa, I make you rock / I am Matahari, I dance alone / I am the one who kills, kills, kills, kills.”

Mata Hari is well-known figure to Eurovision fans courtesy of Efendi. Now, Spanish star Chanel is channelling the Dutch exotic dancer and other powerful women for her latest single, which sees the Eurovision 2022 bronze medallist collaborating with rapper Lapili. Writing on Instagram, Chanel noted:

“To all the women in my life, to all the inspirations I had, have and will have, to all the women who will listen to the topic and we can inspire them, to all of them. […] Mamasotas! It’s okay to be bad!”

Sam Ryder – “Better Man”

Space man Sam Ryder is trying to become the best version of himself. The British singer uses his latest single, “Better Man,” to thank those who inspire him to do this through their support: “Ooh, tryna give it to ya the best I can / Oh, living up to the one you think I am / All your love is making me a / Better, better, better man.”

This is one of the final teasers of Ryder’s upcoming album, which the Eurovision 2022 star will release in October.

Vesna & Kateřina Marie Tichá – “Po vodě”

Eurovision 2023 group Vesna have collaborated with Czech singer-songwriter Kateřina Marie Tichá. The result is “Po vodě,” which translates in English as “After water.” The accompanying music video arrives later on today.

Alessandra – “Queen Almighty”

We already know that Alessandra is “Queen of Kings.” Now, the Norwegian star is here to return her friend to the throne as “Queen Almighty.” Alessandra is calling on this person to whip their cheating man into shape and take control of the kingdom: “Queen almighty don’t you know / That your king is a hoe / Half the damsels in the castle / Playing with his sword / Drama has been dramaing / You’re the queen, make a scene / Get your act together / Sit yo ass back on the throne.”

Whilst the song has a definite pop sound, the Eurovision 2023 alumna has also included a clear classical influence.

EMMY & XanTz – “Unspoken”

EMMY (Ireland 2024) has teamed up with Norwegian music producer XanTZ. Their new joint single, “Unspoken,” has a thumping dance chorus to keep the party going. Lyrically, EMMY sings about how a relationship failed because of a lack of communication: “We can’t undo what’s done / But it’s too late now to run / From the things we never said / Only one word left unspoken / Yeah, we could have had it all.”

Marianne Mendt feat. Conchita Wurst – “I Wish You Love”

Marianne Mendt represented Austria at Eurovision 1971. This week, she’s released a new jazz album titled I Wish You Love. For the title track, Mendt is joined by another alum of the contest — 2014 champion Conchita Wurst.

“I Wish You Love” has a history spanning 80 years. It’s the English-language version of popular French chanson “Que reste-t-il de nos amours?”

TEYA – “Girls Like Girls”

Girlhood is an important thing for TEYA. Austria’s Eurovision 2023 singer is celebrating women who support women with her latest pop single: “Drunk in bathroom clubs where / Girls like girls, girls like girls / Nighttime on the sidewalk / Girls like girls, girls like girls / Compliments and kisses.”

You may recognise another familiar face in the “Girls Like Girls” music video — Czechia’s Aiko.

MEGARA – “4ÑO C3RO”

“The connection with humanity has been lost / Trying to reconnect…”

MEGARA are rocking out at the end of days. San Marino’s Eurovision 2024 representatives serve up an intense experience with “4ÑO C3RO,” which is all set around a cosmic event: “The total eclipse has arrived / No one can save us / From year zero I was looking for freedom / In the virtual hell / Of a new world.”

Sudden Lights – “my melancholic baby”

Eurovision 2023 act Sudden Lights have sung in Latvian throughout their career so far. But the band are now changing things up with the release of English-language single “my melancholic baby.” Much like the title suggests, the song has a dispirited, mid-tempo feel to it, with lead singer Andrejs Zitmanis having a despondent outlook on his current relationship: “Will you miss me / When June leaves? / Goodbye my melancholic baby / Not sure I want to know if you will.”

Miki Núñez & Mon DJ – “La Barca”

If you’ve ever dreamt about spending your days having one long boat party, then this is the song for you. Spain’s Eurovision 2019 star, Miki Núñez, is hitting the open ocean on “La Barca” (“The boat”) alongside Mon DJ. The pair deliver a summery Latin-pop offering with a fusion of percussion and trumpet accompaniment.

In the chorus, Miki sings: “If I had a boat I would name it after you / You would be the star that takes me to the port.”

Emma – “Quella che non sei”

In 1995, Italian singer Luciano Ligabue released the album Buon compleanno Elvis (Happy Birthday Elvis). It has gone on to become one of the most successful and beloved Italian records of all time. For the LP’s 30th anniversary, a new version has been unveiled that sees all of the songs being covered by another singer.

Eurovision 2014 participant Emma is included in the updated project, recording her rendition of “Quella che non sei” (“The one you are not”).

Sergio Dalma – “Entre Tú y Mil Mares”

Sergio Dalma has had a long and established career. But the Eurovision 1991 alum has no plans on stopping anytime soon, with his 23rd studio album set for release in November. For this particular record, Dalma has decided to re-interpret Italian songs that also made it big in Spain.

The first single from the upcoming LP is “Entre Tú y Mil Mares” (“Between You and a Thousand Seas”). This was first released by Laura Pausini in 2000.

Zenek Grabowski feat. Michał Wiśniewski – “Bo jo cię kochom”

This week, Polish rock musician Zenek Grabowski has unvelied the new album Jeszcze raz to sam (It’s me again). On track #9, “Bo jo cię kochom” (“Because I love you”), you’ll find additional vocals from Michał Wiśniewski, who competed at Eurovision in 2003 and 2006 as part of Ich Troje. It’s a cover of the 1980’s song originally released by Polish-Norwegian band De Press.

Gabry Ponte, Azteck & Pitbull – “Pretty Woman (All Around The World)”

Roy Orbison’s “Pretty Woman” is one of the best known rock and roll songs of all time, topping the charts across the world in 1964. Now, 60 years later, the song is again getting the international treatment with a new version featuring Mr. Worldwide, aka Pitbull. The song has been produced by Gabry Ponte (San Marino Eurovision 2025) and Azteck.

Käärijä – “Moottoritie on kuuma”

Käärijä was back on Vain elämää this week — the Finnish TV show where singers perform covers of each other’s songs. The focus of the third episode was punk singer Pelle Miljoona. Käärijä took on Miljoona’s 1980 hit “Moottoritie on kuuma,” with the Eurovision 2023 runner-up giving it a full throttle update.

Aram MP3 – “Parav Yars”

At the age of 41, Aram MP3 can hardly be called a “Parav Yars” (“Old Man”). And even if that is the theme of his new song, it comes with a sprightly music videos that shows the Armenian singer still has plenty of moves. The Eurovision 2014 star delivers a fun and catchy offering for our playlists.

Which of these new songs is your favourite? Have we missed out on any? Do you have any artists you want to shout out to? Let us know in the comments.
