Dancing With the Stars fans are calling for change ahead of the season 34 finale. According to one TikTok user, the fandom surrounding Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy has gotten out of control. The influencer’s fans are reportedly planning to use dozens of emails and hundreds of votes to ensure she wins the Mirrorball.
“This is crazy,” TikTok user @enolsttayw shared on Nov. 23. “What is going on with Dancing With the Stars. The new fandom is bonkers.”
According to the creator who has been interacting with the Earle fandom, one die-hard fan reached out asking them to “make more emails” to vote for her in the finale.
“‘Last week I used 17 emails and gave Alix 220 votes just by myself,'” reads the message to @enolsttayw.
“With what time?” the TikTok user said, criticizing the move. “Are you watching the show? Are you enjoying the show?”
The overzealous fan also claimed Robert Irwin fans are creating multiple emails to generate hundreds of votes. At this time, there are no rules against creating multiple accounts to vote — the rules only state you get 10 votes per couple, per voting method.

“This has ruined Dancing With the Stars — all these fandom votes,” @enolsttayw admitted. “Being given 10 votes is very generous…and here we are hacking the system.” Ultimately, they think voting needs to change next season to prohibit one individual from being able to vote hundreds of times.
“They should do it by IP address,” one Reddit user agreed. “Or phone numbers only. Would be a bit harder to fake.”
“I don’t like any celebrity enough to make 17 fake emails,” another Reddit user commented.
“This explains the record breaking votes every week,” said another. Each week this season, Alfonso Ribeiro has revealed a new voting record was broken. Fans are expecting the same with the finale.
