Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are paying the price, one fallout at a time, for their controversial association with Jeffrey Epstein.

Now that more evidence has come out to showcase a more definitive connection between the couple and the convicted sex offender, the royal family has reportedly decided to keep them at arm’s length- and they mean it this time.

Prince Andrew was first caught in the web of Jeffrey Epstein controversies in  2019 when he publicly defended his friendship with the sex offender in an interview, leading him to retire from royal duties indefinitely.

The duo, who live together in the Royal Lodge at Windsor, have reportedly now been ordered to avoid future royal events for the sake of the institution’s reputation.

This advice comes following new evidence that the couple indeed attempted to preserve their friendship with Epstein despite publicly severing ties.

An insider stated that it would be the honorable thing for Andrew and his ex-wife to stay away from the limelight for now, as a letter revealed that Ferguson apologized to Epstein for pledging to disassociate with him.

As confirmed to The Daily Mail by a source, the palace now wants the couple to arrive for events and exit via discreet entry points if it becomes necessary for them to attend those functions.

Andrew has become a constant source of negative publicity for the royal palace, from his friendship with Epstein to his sexual assault allegations involving Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 years old.

Insiders have expressed hopes that the disgraced prince would obey Charles’s order to prevent the king from taking more definitive actions.

Excerpts from the latest email revealed that weeks after Ferguson denounced her association with the billionaire in 2011, she wrote to him to apologize for her actions, describing it as a tactic to salvage her reputation. 

Ferguson also used kind words, such as “steadfast, generous, and supreme friend,” to describe Epstein’s character. She added that she was told to speak up against him to save her career as a children’s book author while apologizing profusely for disappointing Epstein.

Sources close to Ferguson have now stated that she is very upset about the latest scandal and promises to explain herself to the royal family after the dust has settled.

The Duchess of York has experienced her fair share of controversies, which have limited her access to royal events until very recently; now that access is once again on shaky grounds.

Ferguson was once pictured getting her toes sucked by US financial adviser Johnny Bryant and was also involved in a plot to receive $50,000 in exchange for access to Prince Andrew.

The Blast reported that the Duchess of York’s spokesperson has since responded to the leaked email, affirming that while Ferguson wrote it, it did not come from her own volition. The spokesperson continued that Epstein had threatened to drag Ferguson to court after she had spoken out against his actions. 

A source close to the duchess further explained that Ferguson sought legal advice after Epstein’s threat and was advised to be creative in trying to persuade the billionaire to abandon his plan; alas, that text worked.

“She deeply regrets any association with him and abhors paedophilia. She has worked for many years to support vulnerable young people,” the source emphasized.

Ferguson’s camp noted that once the duchess was fully informed about the severity of Epstein’s situation and the extent of the damage his actions had caused, she decided to sever ties with him completely.

Since the emails became public, a notable children’s hospice, Julia’s House, has informed the public of its decision to drop Ferguson as their patron.

The blows have been crushing for Ferguson, both in her career and personally. In addition to the children’s hospice dropping the author, actress Dormer also announced plans to remove herself from promoting the upcoming movie based on Ferguson’s life.

Once the content of the email became public, members of the royal family began speaking up, including Prince William, who reportedly expressed his desire to see them banished. 

King Charles reportedly showed restraint in not immediately dismissing the duo from the royal household, given their history of loyalty to the crown.

Most importantly, the king did not want another version of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have given the royals sleepless nights with their perceived conduct over the past five years.

However, William’s insistence is borne out of the fact that he views the Duke and Duchess of York as opportunists who have caused the royal family enough embarrassment. The father of three reportedly feels there is no better time to ostracize them than now and will put more pressure on the king to take a step.
