Emily Blunt has been busy promoting her upcoming A24 film The Smashing Machine as of late, but she did get a chance to chime in on the AI actress. Stopping by the Variety studios for an upcoming episode of their Awards Circuit podcast, she was shown the report about Tilly.
Here’s what she had to say: “Does it disappoint me? I don’t know how to quite answer it, other than to say how terrifying this is.”
They then showed her a photo of Tilly and Emily was shocked.
“No, are you serious? That’s an AI? Good Lord, we’re screwed. That is really, really scary, Come on, agencies, don’t do that. Please stop. Please stop taking away our human connection.”

Whoopi Goldberg slammed the idea of an AI actress during a recent episode of The View when it was brought up as a topic of discussion, via Entertainment Weekly.
“After many human actors called for a boycott against agencies who sign AI actors, the studio claims Tilly is not a replacement for a human being, but a creative work, and AI characters should be judged as part of their own genre, rather than compared directly with human actors.”
