Brett Goldstein has opened up about the challenges he faced while filming the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy Office Romance with Jennifer Lopez. While the project has drawn considerable attention, Goldstein described parts of the production as difficult due to paparazzi.
Filming took place in Hoboken, New Jersey, near Lopez’s native Bronx, and the actor recalled that outdoor shoots were particularly challenging. Describing the experience, he told USA Today that the shoot was “a nightmare.” While promoting his 2025 movie All of You, he added, “The shoot was a dream. The two days we filmed outside were, forget it, just because of paparazzi everywhere. It was a nightmare.”
Despite the complications, Goldstein maintained a positive view of the collaboration. He joked that any future projects with Lopez would likely be filmed entirely indoors to avoid disruptions. The actor jokingly said, “I thought, ‘If (Lopez and I) make another film together, I’m going to keep all the scenes indoors. There will be no exterior shots.”
Though Office Romance has already generated significant buzz, it doesn’t have a confirmed release date, as of writing. Earlier this year, romance speculation between Lopez and Goldstein began circulating after the pair were seen attending the Broadway production Oh, Mary! together. Despite the attention, neither Lopez nor Goldstein has addressed or confirmed the claims.
Alongside his work in Office Romance, Goldstein takes on the lead in Apple TV+’s sci-fi romance, All of You, which is currently streaming. Goldstein shares the screen with Imogen Poots, portraying college friends Simon and Laura.
