As part of the custody agreement in their divorce, Nicole Kidman has requested that she have five times more days with her kids than Keith Urban.
The former couple, who got married in 2006, have reportedly been separated since June, with sources citing their work schedules and intimacy issues as the reason. They were last spotted together at the beginning of summer, when they attended a FIFA Club World Cup 2025 game in Nashville, Tennessee.
Following on from the announcement of their split, it has been alleged that Keith has started a romance with a new woman. The rumor is said to be “all over Nashville,” with Nicole being said to be “shocked” by the news.
However, one day after the news of the split was shared, details of the pair’s custody battle were released.
According to court documents seen by PEOPLE, Nicole has asked to be the primary residential parent of the children they share, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
It has also been reported that Keith and Nicole have agreed on a parenting setup in which the Practical Magic actress will get 306 days with their daughters, whilst her estranged husband will get 59 days with them. This, in turn, means that the 58-year-old will have more than five times the number of days with the kids than Keith.
As well as their custody schedule, neither party is said to be petitioning for monthly child support from the other. Instead, they will be looking to agree on an “other” situation, whereby Keith has “already prepaid all child support obligations.”
In a show of unity, it has also been agreed that the two Aussies will not speak badly of each other, and instead they will “encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.” They are also both mandated to attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of filing for divorce.
However, the parenting plan documents weren’t signed recently, as Nicole signed them on September 6, and Keith on August 29.

On September 30, it was revealed that Nicole filed for divorce, with an insider saying the Oscar winner “didn’t want this,” and that she “has been fighting to save the marriage.” However, a source close to Keith told PEOPLE that he has “just been going through some stuff” recently, with another source adding, “He has been making questionable choices for some time now and this was not the case of them just drifting apart.”
The couple has not yet publicly commented on the situation. The Express US has approached representatives for Keith and Nicole for comment.
