The horror-comedy series “Wednesday” has reclaimed the top spot in Netflix’s global charts thanks to brand new episodes. The second season of the series was clicked on 28.2 million times last week, according to the streaming service.
Last Wednesday, the second half of season two was released online, which appears to have given the fanbase a fresh boost.
In 81 TV markets, “Wednesday” was the leader, according to Netflix. Globally, the series about the monster-hunting boarding school pupil and her quirky family once again displaced last week’s short-term leader, the romantic coming-of-age series “My Life With the Walter Boys.”

In the new season, Wednesday (played by Jenna Ortega) hunts down a villain who has the power to use flocks of birds as deadly weapons.
At the same time, she is plagued by premonitions that she will cause the death of her best friend, Enid (played by Emma Myers). Also among the prominent cast is pop star Lady Gaga, who plays a teacher at Nevermore Academy.
