Morgan Wallen has officially set one of his latest fan favorites to video.

The ‘You Proof’ hitmaker recently dropped the visual accompaniment to ‘I Got Better’, an insta-hit from his new album, I’m The Problem. The 2025 tune has been steadily flooding social media reels and soundtracking our daily lives, and now, fans get one more piece of the infectious song’s redemptive story.

In the music video, Wallen portrays a wounded driver, bloodied and battered from a nasty car accident. He is seen crawling from the wreckage at the beginning as viewers get glimpses of a woman – unscathed from the same mishap – disappearing into the distance. A relationship’s brutal end personified.

About a month ago, Wallen posted a whiplash-inducing photo of himself in cinema-scale makeup effects, made to look beaten and bruised, without any context. This was likely for the video in question.

Throughout the visual, the singer can be seen going through it, forced to get his bearings and find help in the rain. As he begins to walk, however, his wounds start to fade. The gnashes and scapes that initially scarred his skin slowly dissipate until he looks like an unblemished Morgan Wallen again. The story that unfolds perfectly mirrors the song’s healing lyrics.

“Swear it was like I’ll be damned / I’m finally back to being who I am,” he sings on the track about heartbreak and recovery, “When we were over, it was overnight / Light came on / It all felt right when it all went wrong / You turned me loose / Wasn’t no telling who I’d turn into / But it turns out, me and you together’s why it took so long / ‘Cause I got better since you got gone.”

Delivering a pointed message about when something – or someone – isn’t right and knowing when to let go, ‘I Got Better’ is one of Wallen’s more eviscerating hits. Now, it has an equally effective music video to accompany it.
