Paramount+ has released the first trailer for Season 2 of its hit Taylor Sheridan series, Landman. Co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Season 2 of the series stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paula Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
Per the series logline, “Set in the boomtowns of West Texas, Landman is a modern tale of fortune seeking amongst roughnecks and wildcat billionaires – fueling an oil boom so big it’s reshaping the climate, the economy and geopolitics.”
What do we know about the plot of ‘Landman’ Season 2?
As for Season 2 specifically, here’s the description:
In Season Two, as oil rises from the earth, so do secrets – and Tommy Norris’s (Thornton) breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller (Moore), and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble – it’s brutal. And sooner or later something’s got to break.
As we saw at the end of Season 1, it set up Moore’s character of Cami to have a much bigger role in Season 2 after the death of her husband, Monty (Jon Hamm). In the Season 2 trailer, when Thornton’s Tommy asks Cami why doesn’t she just let him “sell this thing,” she responds, “I want success. Get it for me.”
