However, what many fans might not know is that the iconic film originally had Charlize Theron in the lead. As the director Andy Tennant revealed to Business Insider, the actress chose to leave the film due to script changes. Reportedly, when Tennant entered the film as a director, he wasn’t fond of the script and decided to turn it into a love triangle with choices between a great guy and the right guy.
