Taylor Swift is renowned for weaving tales about her love interests into her songs, so it’s no shocker that Travis Kelce takes center stage in her latest album.
Her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is now available for fans to enjoy, and it doesn’t skimp on references to Taylor‘s fiancé.
The announcement of the new release was made on the NFL star’s New Heights podcast back in August.
Just two weeks later, the couple revealed their engagement news, and Taylor characterized the album as, stating “This is my brand new album. It just comes from, like, the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life.
She went on to say, “And so that effervescence has come through on this record … this is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time.”

Opalite seems to allude to Travis since he was born in October, with opal serving as October’s birthstone.
Taylor has been spotted donning opal accessories while cheering him on during Kansas City Chiefs games, and he has already declared the song among his top picks from the album.
In the track, she croons, “It’s alright. You were dancing through the lightning strikes/ Sleepless on an onyx night/ But now the sky is opalite.

Eldest Daughter
Travis notably attempted to connect with Taylor initially when her Eras Tour arrived in Kansas City for a show at the Chiefs’ home venue, Arrowhead Stadium.
